Founding partners Allen A. Drexel and ToniAnn Grande began their legal careers as law clerks for federal judges, and went on to practice family law and general commercial litigation at leading New York City law firms. Our clients have included successful businessmen and women, professionals, executives, entertainers, and their spouses and significant others. We have often been sought out by other attorneys as their counsel in connection with family law matters. We aim for excellence in every aspect and phase of the cases we handle.

However, because we recognize that litigation is often a costly and inefficient means of resolving disputes, we strive to achieve our clients’ goals by negotiating non-litigated resolutions whenever possible. Family Law for Traditional and Non-Traditional Families

Because same-sex couples do not currently enjoy the broad array of legal rights and protections afforded heterosexual couples, issues concerning income and estate taxes, property division, child custody, spousal and child support, and other matters are often even more challenging for them than for opposite-sex couples. Drexel Grande is committed to helping same-sex couples reach practical solutions which protect them and their children despite the legal gaps that exist. We do so by advising our lesbian and gay clients of the tax and other legal implications of their relationships, preparing agreements setting forth their and their partners’ rights and responsibilities, and, when necessary, seeking equitable and legal remedies in court when a relationship dissolves.
